Project Description

NBI was contracted by the Sierra Leone National Commission for Social Action (NaCSA) to provide training to agriculture farmers-based organizations (FBOs). Key activities of the training support included: (1) Identifying FBOs in community clusters in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and National Farmers Federation; (2) Providing sector-based training on farming and post-harvest best practices to identified FBOs; (3) Providing basic training on networking and coordination for FBOs; (4) Supporting the establishment of community based FBO networks and federations and promoting linkages with chiefdom, district, regional and national federations; and (5) Promoting exchanged learning visits between cluster FBOs and federations.
